It is new trailer Wednesday! Well, at least I think it is, I am not sure if there is such thing.
Disney provided us this morning with the trailer for the live action “Cinderella” and I may have squealed through it.

This year I was not-so-patiently waiting for the release of Maleficent. The trailer was amazing, and just getting to see the Mistress of All Evil from a different perspective was exciting! The day came, I watched, and I wasn’t happy.
I had an amazing eyegasm throughout the movie. The scenery was beautiful, the costumes were amazing, and makeup was on point…. But there was a lack of dialogue. The story was okay, but there didn’t seem to be much of a character development. First there was good Maleficent, then not so good Maleficent, then back to good Maleficent, the end. I didn’t want that at all.

Here I go again, putting all my hopes and dreams into Disney’s live action movies, because I can’t help it. Let’s start with the cast, shall we? Cinderella is played by Lily James, of whom I know absolutely nothing, but apparently she is a recurring character in Downton Abbey. Prince Charming is being played by none other Richard Madden, and if that doesn’t ring a bell, you have seen him as Robb Stark. Yes, “Red Wedding” Robb Stark. Lady Tremaine is played by the beautiful Cate Blanchett, who I know will do an outstanding job. To end, my personal favorite, The Fairy Godmother, played by the amazing Helena Boham Carter. I wonder if I she will do a very dark “Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo”.

Now, let’s get back to the trailer. We get a little bit of a back story of Ella’s mother, how Lady Tremaine came to live with Ella, how Ella became Cinderella… Love happens, we meet Prince Charming, the mice, and we meet a very blonde and beautiful HBC (Please, please, do the song). We know we need a pumpkin, mice, and apparently a goose. Then come the glass slippers, oh, the glass slippers, which apparently are “really comfortable” (squeeeeal). The ball, midnight, goodness and magic. The search for the girl, the a-hole step mother. And happily ever after? I guess we will find out in March 2015 what will happen.
