Jay's Big Ass Re-Cap!

A lot has happened this week, and since scheduling was a huge obstacle - we were unable to make things work to get a session recorded. What was my idea, you ask? Let's write blogs and do a big recap blog and post it... so, here we go! In addition to this blog, watch out for Producer Mo's huge awards prediction post coming soon. Without further ado, here's what has been going on in the nerd world this week...

Ant-Man...

During the Agent Carter premiere (which we'll touch in a few minutes) we got ourselves a full-size, full-lenght trailer for the upcoming Ant-Man movie... which, by the way, surpassed both Iron Man 3 and Avengers: Age of Ultron trailers in views with a whopping 29 million hits! For the whole sccop, check out my Ant-Man blog here.

Star Wars: Rebels...

While the first season showed us a blast-from-the-past Chewbacca design in Zeb, a girl version of Boba Fett, a Jedi in hiding, an Inquisitor with a twirling red lightsaber, and a new padawan; in the season 2 premiere- a huge event was thrown in. Frank Oz returned to voice Yoda's presence!

Ok, ok... that wasn't the biggest reveal. Ezra was taken into a hidden Jedi temple, passed his trial, was gifted a Kaiburr crystal and made his very own lightsaber (pictured above). To match his personality, the saber is made from spare parts AND is multi-functional... not just a lightsaber. But we'll see more on that in upcoming episodes.

Gotham...

As much as we all love Batman here in the Spoken Jays Universe, this show is yet to really shine amongst the other great DC based shows on TV. The ratings have been up and down, and to my knowledge has not received any great reviews... nothing bad, just not great.

As a detective-type crime show, it's actually not that bad. But once you get all the comicbook-based story lines and character building stories added in, it's just an alright show. The season 2 premiere was all about Arkham and Jim Gordon as a guard there... but again, it just set up another obscure character story to follow throughout the season.

We shall see how this season bodes

Agent Carter...

Hayley Atwell took to the streets of the 1940's, looking hot and kicking some serious ass. On screen, and in ratings. To get the full scope on the 2-hour season premiere and more... see my full breakdown here.

Marvel's newest tv series is bound to turn some heads. YOU MUST WATCH THIS!

Daredevil...

This week, Netflix and Marvel officially announced that Daredevil will be available to binge starting April 10, 2015...and released this extra cool motion poster!

The series will be loosely based on Frank Miller's run of the popular comic, and if the promos are any indication of what to look forward, I think we'll be in for a treat... and hopefully we can all forget that horrible movie made a few years ago. Fingers crossed.

Game of Thrones...

Season 5 is coming back in April, but to make the wait bearable - 150 select IMAX theaters will be showing the last 2 episodes of season 4, along with a full-length trailer for season 5 starting January 23rd, for an entire week.

And that's pretty awesome, because so far they've been pretty close-lipped about the upcoming season. Aside from a few unintelligible teasers, and some reports about breast-plates of armor having ill-placed nipples - we've got nothing.

I'm okay with that, though. I'm sure whatever Tyrion, Sansa Stark, Littlefinger and those beat up crows get into this season will be EPIC.

For more updates, and a lot of stupid jokes... stayed tuned to Spoken Jays
