He Said He'd Be Back!

Arnold Schwarzenegger reprizes his role as the Terminator in this new official trailer for Terminator: Genisys, starring Arnold along side Jai Courtney - taking up the helm as Kyle Reese; Emilia Clarke - better known for her role as Khaleesi Daenarys Targaryen in Game of Thrones- taking the role of Sarah Connor; Jason Clarke (Dawn of the Planet of the Apes and The Great Gatsby) will be playing John Connor. And, though he was not in the trailer NOR is his part clear on any synopsis, Spoken Jays' favorite Doctor himself Matt Smith is listed in the cast.

Without further ado...feast your eyes, and stay tuned for my nerd out afterwards!

Phew... bad ass, right?

If you are anything like me, this renewed my faith in revitalizing the franchise. Though, I must add that the film itself has to keep up with the coolness of this trailer to completely bring it back from the travesty that was Rise of the Machines and Salvation (even with Christian Bale and Sam Worthington taking the reigns)!

Let's really take a good look at what they've done with this reboot attempt. Like J.J.Abrams did with his reboot of the Star Trek franchise, the director and writer crew Alan Taylor (director of Thor: The Dark World and multiple Game of Thrones episodes) and James Cameron (writer of the original Terminator among other credits) have taken the original characters from Terminator and given them a time-altered twist. You still have the core characters from the 1984 original, but something drastic has happened to change the past - so when Kyle Reese is sent back to be the knight in shining armor for Sarah Connor...

there's already a terminator alum helping her out. And she already seems to know what's going on - unlike the Sarah from the 1984 version.

There's a ton of action in this little 2 minute trailer - not to mention a bus completely flipping in the air. So let's hope that means good things for the future!

That's a pun... get it? Because of the time travel and sequels are already lined up...
